On Friday, June 11 at 8:00 a.m., Siteworx Vice President of User Experience, Giovanni Calabro, has been selected to serve on an interactive panel with marketing leaders from SafeNet, ScienceLogic, and DLT Solutions. The panel, co-hosted by the Women in Technology (WIT) Sales & Marketing and Technology Special Interest Groups, will focus on, The Intersection of Marketing and Technology. The event will take place at TeqCorner in McLean, Virginia.

The panel of marketing leaders will address key questions challenging today’s marketing organization, regardless of vertical markets they serve, including:

  • What are some of the best things a company can do to optimize a Website for lead generation?
  • The importance of content marketing on lead generation strategies
  • Best practices for integrating social media into B2B marketing programs
  • Search engine optimization (SEO) and practical tips for marketers that want to positively impact their search ranking
  • The value of traditional marketing tactics, such as tradeshows, events, webinars, email marketing, telemarketing, etc. to the mix

The Panelists

Giovanni Calabro, VP of User Experience, Siteworx, Inc.  

Calabro has over 13 years of experience leading interactive research and design efforts for a wide range of business sectors. At Siteworx, Giovanni leads the design team, responsible for user experience strategy, brand analysis, search engine optimization (SEO), search and analytics integration, and social media strategy. With clients as diverse as MTV Networks, USATODAY, NPR, and JPMorgan Chase, Giovanni’s team provides expert strategy and advice in the areas of stakeholder and staff alignment, and new publishing models for emerging platforms such as social media and mobile channels.

Prior to Siteworx, Giovanni worked for washingtonpost.com, where he organized coverage and coordinated design strategy for special projects, such as Sitewide Redesign, Iraqi War, Elections 2004, and D.C. Sniper Coverage. Giovanni is a member of Usability Professionals Association International and The American Society for Information Science & Technology, and graduated from George Mason University with a B.A. in Communications. Julia Lim, Vice President of Marketing, ScienceLogic

Lim has more than 10 years of integrated marketing experience at B2B technology companies in the DC area. Currently, as the Vice President of Marketing at ScienceLogic, she is responsible for all demand generation activities, which have produced more than a 3000% revenue growth for the company over the past 5 years. ScienceLogic has been recognized by Inc. 500 as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the US, and is ranked #58 nationally (#6 for DC Metro area) on the 2009 Deloitte Technology Fast 500.

An avid believer in integrated marketing, Lim develops and communicates product positioning for ScienceLogic to all constituents - from prospects and customers to media and analysts - via multiple channels - website (with search engine optimization), blog and social media, events, email marketing, and more. During her tenure, she has rebranded the company and products, focused on organic search optimization, led two website redesigns (and is in the middle of the third), launched the ScienceLogic blog, and customized and integrated the sales CRM solution with the marketing CRM solution in order to drive qualified traffic to the ScienceLogic website, analyze visitor activity and increase conversions.



Christine Schaefer Vice President, DLT Solutions

In her more than fifteen years of experience, Christine Schaefer has had proven success in B2B and B2G marketing and public relations, most often in the information technology industry. Most recently, Christine has used her expertise to drive demand for the products and services of DLT Solutions, Inc. (http://www.dlt.com) and its vendor partners. As the Vice President of Marketing at DLT, Christine oversees a team of marketing professionals, who are organized in an agency-like fashion to support the company’s six different sales divisions and its vendor partners, including industry leaders such as Autodesk, NetApp, Oracle, Quest Software, Red Hat, and Symantec.

She is numbers and results driven in her current role, creating entire systems to transform marketing from an art to a science.  She also designed and now oversees the entry-level Corporate Sales Associate Program at DLT, an on-the-job training program for all entry-level sales associates who join the company.


Holger Schulze, Director of Marketing, SafeNet

Schulze is a seasoned B2B technology marketing executive with over 15 years of experience driving market awareness, demand, and revenue for high-tech companies in the US and Europe. Currently serving as the Director of Marketing for information security vendor SafeNet, Holger has a proven track record of creating and executing global marketing strategies. These strategies increase revenue and market share by engaging profitable target market segments with compelling value propositions, generating demand through innovative multi-channel marketing campaigns, and successfully guiding prospects through the buying process.
