The Senior Web Designer is responsible for leading the collaborative design process for web-site creation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop original visual design concepts, mood boards and color comps
• Create style and branding guidelines
• Attend Client Strategy meetings and design presentations
• Perform animation, story boards and interactive demos and video
• Complete Logo Design and iconography
• Maintain communication between internal teams
• Function as design lead and help plan scope of work and budgets
• Complete projects on time and budget
• Direct support design staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Education: BFA in design, or formal training in graphic design, information design and interactive design
• Experience: Five to seven years of direct web design experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign and Dreamweaver or equivalent HTML editor and CSS
• Strong understanding of web 2.0 standards, interface design principles and current trends in web site development as well as tools used to build web interfaces
• Ability to interpret client goals and tastes to produce designs that are appropriate for each project
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work at a fast pace
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to accept art direction feedback
• Ability to interpret client needs, tastes, technical limitations
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to inspire junior designers and help guide clients toward appropriate design solutions for their projects
