Siteworx and Syracuse University Collaborate to Study B2B Customer Engagement

Siteworx and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University team up to study B2B customer engagement.


RESTON, VA  Siteworx, a leading digital experience agency, is teaming up with students from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University to study customer engagement among B2B manufacturers. Together, they will create a unique approach to understanding how business to business manufacturers will engage and serve their customers of the future.

According to Forrester Research, Inc. US B2B eCommerce will grow from $780 billion in 2015 to $1.13 trillion in 2020. Forrester experts forecast a compound annual growth rate of 7.7% in B2B eCommerce over the next five years due in part to a shift in B2B buyer channels. B2B buyers show a preference for researching and buying online, making the buyers’ journey ever more important. Companies that do not engage with their customers and understand buyer preferences stand to lose an opportunity to increase revenue streams and build stronger loyalty with key stakeholders.

The students’ work will have an invaluable impact on B2B manufacturers as they make the transformation to a digital-first approach and develop more engaging and profitable connections with their customers.”

Students were hand-selected to work on the research project. Each student has a dual-major, including marketing, and will earn credit for their work.

Whitman School of Management. “By collaborating with Siteworx, these students get high-level exposure to C-level leadership on a regular basis, they learn how to prep for meetings and participate in hands-on market research and analysis. The students understand the importance of their work and are more engaged and invested knowing the impact they will make.”

The students started on the project this semester. This is the first collaboration for Siteworx and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management.
